It had been amazing staying at Maya Sanur

The rate we paid did not include breakfast. Breakfast fee was too expensive anyway. For the price we paid, it should have inclusive breakfast

Wow very impressed with everything.

The Maya is a very special place to visit. We stayed in a Lagoon Pool Suite which was just fabulous. Our room was private and the pool access was great. The main pool and restaurant area was also fabulous. We ate at all the restaurants and every meal was perfect. We had both the buffet and ala carte breakfast and both were great. We had dinner there too and the food and service was top notch. The location was also convenient - we used the walkway along the beach to shop at a couple of markets and the road at the front of the resort had some good shopping too. All staff were so friendly and helpful and my daughter and I are looking forward to coming back very soon. Would recommend this resort if you prefer to be in a Balinese style resort in a quiet location and right on the beach.

Pool a little small , definitely get you breakfast included as very expensive when u have. Family and would recommend going out for breakfast as $30 each abit much

Fancy feeling

Friendly staff who were always very helpful, heavenly pool suite was spacious, afternoon tea was a nice addition, beach was calm and great for young kids, kids cooking class was good value for money and kids aged 8 and 6 loved it.

Buffet breakfast was expensive if not included especially for children, pillows could have been more comfortable

We only stayed one night and would definitely go back to stay for more it was so lovely.

It was beautiful, the pools were stunning. Location was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The main pool wasn’t very deep and was very busy, but that is a very small thing

Wonderful

The breakfast buffet was great. Lots of options and very fresh.

Walls are fairly thin. You can hear people above and next to you. They allow smoking on the balcony's so with a child this is not ideal. The smell was very obtrusive on our balcony and even into our room through the air-conditioning. We stayed in a lagoon access room.

Simply bliss!

The room was excellent, spacious and luxurious. The staff are friendly and just lovely. We usually eat out a lot but found everything we wanted in-house which was great. Even their restaurant street-side, Graze, had fabulous food still at reasonable prices. It is in the middle of exactly where you want to be in Sanur.

I can’t fault anything.

We paid extra 100€ for lagoon view- saw tiny bit of sea from distant, has big trees in front! Also this hotel is very European and has little local interior design. It’s just a huge concrete building.

Beautiful property close to the town and on the ocean front. Good spa and rooms beautiful.

Everything was perfect.

Everything was perfect. Could not fault. Plenty of choices to eat or sit and drink. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us

Sometimes, we were over serviced. Like several knocks on the door and calls to see if we needed anything. It was not necessary and on occasion, a bit annoying

Fantastic stay....again

Excellent staff. Barry was very welcoming. Great hospitality.

Screaming kids by the pool. The bar staff should redirect noisy kids (there were 4) to play elsewhere (maybe down the steps away from pool) not next to the pool running and screaming. The quiet atmosphere should be valued and if parents dont control tgat, staff should step in.

The resort looked exactly like the photos, it was beautiful. The staff were friendly, great location and fantastic, spacious room.

Loved every minute, could have stayed longer!

The breakfast was delicious,with many different options available. Nice cocktails available at the pool. The room was really comfortable, though we were thankful we didn't have the pool outside our door as we felt they were lacking privacy. Lovely beaches to walk on and get dinner on in the evenings.

The lunch menu wasn't particularly inspiring. We tended to eat out foe lunch as a result. The beach walks could do with more lighting after sunset as it was too dark to walk without a light!

Idyllic, peaceful retreat, just what we were hoping for!

The deluxe room was very comfortable and well laid out. The bar areas and restaurants were very good. Staff very pleasant.

Service lacked consistency. On a few occasions our drinks did not arrive and we had to keep requesting them again.

I am quite upset since I found out that its too expensive...

I am quite upset since I found out that its too expensive for the price that i have to pay with booking.com compare with other portal I can get Rp 2,5mio per night compared with booking.com that i have to paid for Rp 3.3 mio it is way too much.

Overall, thoroughly enjoyable, the hotel location and setting is very, very nice!

The staff, especially Dewi, went above and beyond what I was expecting! They upgraded our room, laid a flower arrangement on the bed and even provided a cake for us to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel location is ideally situated and set back slightly from the road so you rarely hear the sound of the cars. The location was perfect for us! We will definitely be going back.

The only thing that we weren't to keen on, and this is through no fault of the hotel, is the beach was rather unclean. Lots of plastic and rubbish simply thrown and left, both by holiday makers and locals. The hotel staff did there best to keep the section clean where the hotel is adjacent so that one part was nice, the other hotels didn't seem so enthusiastic about cleanliness!
